My name is Olly Ritchie, and I am a filmmaker with a particular passion for writing, particularly screenwriting. I have recently come to the end of my Bachelor of Arts (Film Production) at the University of Canberra, and I am looking to enter the film industry and become a screenwriter.

 

Throughout my time at UC, I had the opportunity to take on a number of filmic roles, as Writer, Director, Cinematographer, Assistant Director, and Editor. My primary role at university, through which I have gained the most experience, was as 1st AD, planning productions and organising with my Directors how the creation of our films would go.

Outside of university, I have worked in retail, sports coaching, cadets, and media production and management.

I am truly passionate about screenwriting, and below is the first script I wrote for 'The List', which was accepted into the 2023 Canberra Short Film Festival. I have since developed a number of scripts and I am planning on writing and shooting more in the coming years.​
